Sharing’s caring
We ask our team to share personal info with us every year, which helps us track our DE&I goals and celebrate our differences. Don’t worry, we always keep it private and only ever share it as aggregated results (like this):
Ethnic identity at Cuckoo
Sexual orientation at Cuckoo
A closer look at our team
- % of our managers are caretakers
- % of our employees were not born in the UK
- % identify as neurodiverse
- % identify as living with a disability
- different nationalities
- different belief systems
-
Removing unconscious bias
Yep, unfortunately we all have it. But to make sure it doesn’t impact how we hire our team, we make sure all identifying info (like gender, age, location, etc) is removed from CVs and initial interviews. If you apply for a role with us, we’ll ask you to fill in a quick survey about yourself. This helps us understand how we’re including and looking after underrepresented and minority groups in our process – but please know, this info is aggregated and won’t be seen by the team reviewing your application.

Attracting, retaining and promoting women
Sadly, our industry is way behind when it comes to representing women in the workplace. In 2025, we signed the Women in Tech Pledge, alongside Ofcom and other leading tech companies, to improve the number of women in tech roles. Right now, 44% of our team and 46% of our managers identify as women – and we’re committed to that number soaring over the next few years.
The only way is online
Everyone deserves access to the internet – and all the opportunities it brings. In 2025, our Managing Director proudly signed the Charter for Digital Inclusion, to help end digital poverty. The Digital Poverty Alliance (the brains behind the Charter) are also our official charity partner – and we support them through regular fundraising, device donations and more. So more people can get and stay connected.
